A lot of people don't even think about making non-dessert dishes with pumpkin, but it can be quite good. Generally speaking you need actual whole pumpkins for many recipes, as most savory recipes don't call for puree (soups are a good exception here). This means of course that most savory pumpkin dishes are completely seasonal affairs and because of this I personally have not invented many savory recipes. But I'll share what I have.
