There will be more here; I'll add to this section every year. It being after Halloween now, I cannot take photos of the carving process at this time, but I promise to do so next fall. In the meantime I will put what I can here.

I started carving what I call "fancy" pumpkins back in college, so around 1995 or so. I began with Pumpkin Masters designs, which is a very good place to start, but I have finally embraced the "shaving technique" as well. It was the Pumpkin Wizard site that got me started there. Anyways on ths site you will find instructions (and links to sites with better instructions than mine), descriptions of the types of tools used by carvers, and original designs by me.
