Torpedo was created by my high-school right-hand Darkwing fan, Sophie. I have to get by with what I remember - Sophie never actually gave me any copies of stories or anything that she wrote, but we came up with several story concepts together.
Torpedo's real first name is Evelyn, but I forget now what her last name was (if she ever had one--I think she did), and she is a fifteen-year-old tern (it's a kind of sea bird for those of you who don't know) of Aleutian descent (again, that's Eskimo, if you don't know). I don't recall Sophie ever telling me if she lived with her parents or what, but for my own purposes I have decided to go ahead and make Evelyn like Sophie in many ways - including the fact that she lives in an apartment with her single mother, which was Sophie's situation back when she created the character.
Sophie did write an origin 'episode' for Torpedo and told me what it was about although I never read it myself. I decided to go ahead and re-create it, and you can find this version of my own on my Fanfic page.
Anyways, the current situation with Torpedo is that she's living at Quackerjack's hideout (at least part of the time), and finding herself more often than not playing both housekeeper and nursemaid to the villain, who turns out to be a rabid cross between a very small tantrum-prone child and a typical bachelor. If I remember correctly, at one point he drives her over the edge and she spends an episode trying to apprentice herself to various other villains with no success (I'd like to attempt to re-create that particular story myself - it was very funny). She does eventually get the chance to work with her idol Megavolt, who she finds to be entirely impossible, and she gladly goes back to Quackerjack in the end (Quackerjack having by this time become quite emotionally attached to his new "playmate").
One final thing to note: Torpedo is bananaphobic. Yes, that's right: she fears Mr. Banana Brain. Due to the many hours Torpedo spends alone at Jack's apartment with no one but Mr. Banana Brain for company, she has developed her own psychosis concerning him. Possibly a bit schizophrenic, Torpedo is convinced that "The Banana" (as she calls him) is stalking her at every turn, and spends much of her time trying to creatively assassinate The Banana before It can carry out Its hideous plan to do...whatever...to her. All this without the highly-sensitive Quackerjack finding out (as far as he's concerned, his two best friends are best friends themselves).
