Depressed, the man who screens the Wheel of Fortune applicants is about to throw himself out of his office window when Ed shows up for his interview. After the man steps down the hall, Ed spazzes out in the office, excited to be there. He winds up being accepted for the show and gushes to the interviewer how sometimes things can look their worst, and then something comes along to make everything better. When Ed reaches the street below the interviewer jumps and lands on him. The interviewer tells Ed that on the way down he was thinking about Ed's comment about things looking better when everything seems bad, and it changed him. He offers to buy Ed a coffee, but asks him not to talk anymore. Ever.
