November 17, 1984, Saturday Night Live, Host: Ed Asner - "Ed Grimley's Thanksgiving"
Ed is all excited over getting ready to go to his family's Thanksgiving dinner when he pauses to look through his telescope and spots a neighbor murdering his wife. The neighbor looks up and notices him and comes banging on the door as Ed frantically phones the police. The neighbor breaks in and is about to strangle Ed when Ed's look-a-like dad ("Unhand my son, I must say!") shows up. Father and son subdue the murderer, tie him to a chair, and leave to have Thanksgiving dinner.
