April 13, 1985, Saturday Night Live, Host: Howard Cosell - "Ed Grimley In the Hospital"
Ed's in the hospital to have his tonsils out, and his roommate is a bigtime mobster. A hit man comes to kill the mobster, who's been driven down the hall by Ed's idiotic babbling, and assumes that Ed is the mob boss. While he struggles to inject Ed with a giant syringe, Howard Cosell makes an appearance as Ed's look-a-like Uncle Basil. The hit man jumps out through the window after accidentally injecting himself, and Uncle Basil gives Ed a birthday present.
